On Stage at the IO Ignition Cohort 30 Pitch Finale — Invest Ottawa
Last week, AnyCognition's founder Jamila Ruzimetova stood on stage at the IO Ignition Pitch Finale at Invest Ottawa — three minutes, a microphone, and a room of roughly 200 founders, mentors, and judges.
As a member of Cohort 30 of the IO Ignition program, Jamila pitched her own idea on that stage. In her words: a racing heart, a voice that shook at the start, and somewhere in the middle of it the realization that she was actually doing the thing — putting her idea out into the world in front of a room of people who genuinely wanted founders to succeed.
This experience matters to AnyCognition because most of the people we work with are doing exactly this: founders standing in front of rooms, sharing their ideas out loud, often for the first time. Going through Ignition ourselves means we understand that journey firsthand — not just as the team that builds the product behind a founder, but as a founder who has stood at the microphone and pitched.
A sincere thank you to the Invest Ottawa team and the Ignition program organizers for creating an environment where founders genuinely feel supported, to Jamila's advisor Jennifer Batley for her guidance throughout the program, and to the founders of IO Ignition Cohort 30 for the kind of community that makes entrepreneurship a little less lonely.
